Shopping weekly at "For Good Measure", the bulk food store in Cadboro Bay Village, has become a part of our Saturday mornings. It is a major part of our grocery shopping, and it is hard to imagine life without it. The quality and variety of staple dry goods, flours and seeds for baking - especially for breads - and for our own, complex hot cereal mix, is better than any other local source (and the prices are better, too). Then there is the variety of pastas - our favorite, buckwheat noodles (tasty and they cook in 5 minutes). We especially like the nuts, which Mark roasts fresh in the store (no vacuum packed jars with a long list of additives) and the dried fruits. You will be pleased at the savings on herbs and spices in bulk versus those in little bottles in the supermarkets. We have been faithful customers from the beginning and have never been disappointed. Oh by the way, do you have a sweet tooth? "For Good Measure" is for you. Try it. Miles and Dorothy, Gordon Head

"For Good Measure" is one great store! As a shopper I'm there weekly for bulk goods. There's a wide choice and the staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. As the president of a local music society, "Eine Kleine Summer Music", and a member of Summer Music Victoria, I'm glad to say we've had a lot of help over the years from this very public-spirited store. --- Betty Parker-Jervis, Victoria BC

I like the bulk idea - where it's the product that counts, not the package - and your store has the best quality and selection. We have less to recycle and we throw less in the garbage; we can even re-use some of our bags and containers. Now our whole family is eating the Baked Muesli you make sweetened with fruit juice. We eat it with yogurt and bananas - it's a great breakfast! Blake H., Saanich
